CAVE OF GHAR DJEMÂA
Bouhamdane
This marvellous cave is located in the municipality of Bouhamdane, at an altitude of 1,000 metres. It is a real masterpiece of nature because of the curiosities it offers and the secrets it hides. It was discovered in 1867. It is a very vast and marvellous cave of stalagmites and stalactites opening in the northern flank of the Djebel Taya with dimensions of 1,200 m long and 200 m deep. It is made up of several passages and corridors with more than 1800 units of bones, ruins and engravings dating back to the 3rd century.
