Bouchegouf
The nature reserve of Beni Salah is one of the most important forests in the eastern region of the country. The reserve of Beni Salah has an enormous wealth of flora and fauna. The reserve s plant wealth is made up of shrubs, bushes, cork oaks, beeches, pines, eucalyptus, and others. It is being reforested with eucalyptus, maritime pine and cypress. As for the animal wealth, it is composed of birds and rare animals, the most important of which is the Barbary deer, whose numbers have considerably decreased in recent years, due to fires, which are considered among the most threatening to this national reserve.
